No Ordinary Woman

Music by Joan Sowards, Lyrics by Peggy Glass
A song to honor Relief Society Presidents

An ordinary woman was asked to serve her ward.
The task was far beyond her
When the call came from the Lord.
But duty found her willing as a steward she would lead.
For this ordinary woman knew her sisters and their need.

Her arms were always open.
She listened with her heart.
Each time a problem plagued a life she used the
Healer's art. She put her arms around us and shared our silent fears.
To us she was great comfort when together we wept tears.

An ordinary woman was asked to serve her ward.
Her spirit grew in stature as she strove to serve the Lord.
And we have grown to love her for she's given us so much.
This ordinary woman is no ordinary woman.
No ordinary woman, She's felt the Master's touch.
