Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting.
The soul that rises with us, our life's star.
Had elsewhere it's setting and cometh from a far,
Bringing with us His light so we'll know who we really are.

We will choose the light, it is always before us.
In His light, the Holy Spirit will guide.
Shining bright, tho' temptation tries to lure us
we will win the fight if we always choose the light.
